John Rice's career in water treatment began at just 21 years old when he joined H2O Base, a well-established local water treatment company. Over the following decades, John gained extensive hands-on experience across virtually every aspect of the water treatment business, including water testing and diagnosis, designing treatment systems, installation, maintenance and repair, customer service, and day-to-day operations.

As his experience grew, John took on a hybrid leadership and hands-on role, eventually overseeing much of the operation while continuing to work directly in the field with customers and their water treatment systems. This gave him a unique understanding of the entire process, from accurately identifying a water problem and designing the appropriate solution to installing the equipment, maintaining it, and troubleshooting issues over the long term.

After H2O Base was sold to new ownership approximately 10 years ago, John decided to take his decades of experience and start his own business. John Rice Water Solutions was founded around a simple philosophy: properly diagnose the problem, recommend what the customer actually needs, perform the work to the highest standard, and stand behind it.

Over his 35+ year career in water treatment, John has completed more than 5,600 installations, giving him decades of hands-on experience diagnosing water problems, designing treatment systems, installing equipment, and servicing systems in the field.
